MEDIA ADVISORY: Senator Scott to Address The Heritage Foundation’s 2014 Antipoverty Forum TODAY

Washington, DC - This morning, U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) will address The Heritage Foundation’s 2014 Antipoverty Forum in Washington, DC.  During his address, he will discuss the importance of families as a powerful tool to prevent poverty as well as his Opportunity Agenda, a new way forward including robust initiatives that give America’s students and workers the greatest chance to succeed.

As a member of both the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, Senator Scott has worked to advance school choice, close the skills gap and address energy insecurity for America’s low income families. Each year, The Heritage Foundation’s Antipoverty Forum gathers researchers, policy leaders, expert practitioners, and communicators seeking to help more Americans overcome poverty and social breakdown through effective principles in action.
