been
named
Chairman
of
the
Senate
Banking,
Housing
and
Urban
Affairs
Subcommittee
on
Housing,
Transportation,
and
Community
Development.
The
subcommittee
has
jurisdiction
over
the
U.S.
Department
of
Housing
and
Urban
Development
(HUD),
as
well
as
the
Federal
Transit
Administration.
The
top
Democrat
on
the
panel
is
Senator
Robert
Menendez
of
New
Jersey.

work
on
the
subcommittee
helping
low-income
and
disadvantaged
communities
achieve

Scott
said.

addition

his
chairmanship,
Senator
Scott

and

Protection.
Scott
