Continuing
his
ongoing
support
for
South

veterans
and
their
families,
Senator
Tim
Scott
(R-SC)
today
announced
two
veterans
job
and
resource
fairs
-
March
9th
in
the
Lowcountry
and
March
25th
in
the
Upstate
-
to
assist
veterans
in
their
transition
from
active
military
service
to
the
civilian
workplace.
The
upcoming
job
and
resource
fairs
follow
a
series
of
workshops
around
the
state
that
focused
on
providing
veterans
with
various
skills
and
information
on
topics,
including:
how
they
can
transfer
their
military
skills
and
certifications
to
the
civilian
world,
an
overview
of
the
available
educational
and
entrepreneurial
resources,
and
a
resume
writing
and
interviewing
skills
workshop
with
a
hiring
manager’s
panel.
“I
launched
my
Veterans
Job
Training
Initiative
last
October
because
I
believe
it
is
vitally
important
to
support
the
men
and
women
who
have
bravely
worn
our
nation’s
uniform
as
they
transition
from
active
military
service
to
the
civilian
workplace,”
said
Senator
Tim
Scott.
“Through
the
initiative,
I
am
proud
that
we
have
been
able
to
connect
our
veterans
to
resources
and
job
opportunities,
while
also
connecting
South
Carolina
employers
to
a
diverse,
highly
talented
pool
of
possible
employees.
March’s
job
and
resource
fairs
in
North
Charleston
and
Greenville
are
an
important
next
phase
of
my
Veterans
Job
Training
Initiative.
I
hope
veterans
and
their
families
will
make
plans
to
attend.”
The
fairs
are
free
and
open
to
all
veterans
and
their
families.
Attendees
are
encouraged
to
bring
copies
of
their
current
resume
or
a
list
of
work
experiences.
