Guantanamo
Bay
Today,
I
joined
my
colleagues
Senators
Kelly
Ayotte
(R-NH)
and
Shelley
Moore
Capito
(R-WV)
during
a
press
conference
to
discuss
our
trip
to
Guantanamo
Bay,
Cuba
to
visit
the
detention
facility.
Our
visit
to
the
Guantanamo
Bay
detention
facility
last
week
was
a
fascinating
experience
and
opportunity
for
me
to
understand
why
Gitmo
is
the
only
location
on
earth
for
these
enemy
combatants.
We
have
a
strong
military
presence
there,
and
they
are
more
than
capable
of
guarding
some
of
the
world’s
most
dangerous
terrorists.
Our
men
and
women
in
uniform
continue
to
do
amazing
work
and
their
training
is
major
testament
to
their
personal
resolve
to
honor
the
country
as
they
take
care
of
these
prisoners.

IRS
Hearing
with
Commissioner
John
Koskinen
This
morning
in
Senate
Finance
Committee
I
questioned
the
IRS
commissioner
on
how
he
is
implementing
needed
changes
to
stop
the
culture
of
intimidation
that
runs
through
the
IRS.
The
answer
seems
to
be
that
employees
can
now
email
him! That's
not
enough,
it
won't
be
enough,
and
I
will
keep
fighting
to
ensure
that
the
IRS
knows
its
not
enough.
