Mother’s
Day!
A
lot
of
you
who
are
familiar
with
my
story
know
that
my
mom,
Frances
Scott,
is
the
reason
why
I
am
here
today.
Her
faith
and
guiding
hand
continue
to
be
my
inspiration.
She
has
never
given
up
on
me,
even
when
I
gave
up
on
myself,
and
for
that,
I
am
forever
grateful.
When
I
failed
multiple
classes
my
freshman
year
in
high
school
because
I
focused
more
on
football
than
my
academics,
she
helped
me
to
see
the
potential
I
did
not
see
in
myself
–
mostly
with
strict
discipline!
Even
while
working
16-hour
shifts
as
a
single
mom
to
keep
food
on
the
table
and
a
roof
over
our
head,
she
encouraged
my
brother
and
me.
I
think
my
mom’s
strength
and
sacrifices
are
very
similar
to
many
mothers
across
our
great
nation,
especially
single
mothers.
Whether
it
is
working
long
hours,
disciplining,
or
teaching,
your
strength
is
appreciated.
Everything
my
mom
has
taught
me
remains
close
to
my
heart
as
I
serve
my
state
and
country.
That
is
why
I
will
continue
working
towards
a
brighter
future
for
our
kids
and
grandkids.

to
my
hero,
my
mom,
and
all
the
moms
out
there
–
you
are
the
definition
strength,
dedication,
and
love.
