Washington
-
U.S.
Senator
Tim
Scott
(R-SC)
issued
the
statement
below
following
the
release
of
the
House
Select
Committee
on
Benghazi's
final
report.
“From
the
beginning,
Trey
Gowdy
promised
an
investigation
that
looked
at
the
facts
and
only
the
facts.
While
the
Obama
Administration
stonewalled
attempt
after
attempt
by
the
Benghazi
committee
to
obtain
relevant
information,
Chairman
Gowdy
and
his
committee
continued
to
press
forward
with
their
charge
of
finding
out
why
four
Americans
died
that
night
in
Libya.
Because
of
the
committee’s
work,
it
is
clear
now
that
multiple
warning
signs
were
ignored,
help
was
incredibly
slow
to
arrive,
and
for
hours
after
the
attack
the
Obama
Administration
was
paralyzed
by
indecision.
I
want
to
thank
Trey
and
the
committee
for
their
steadfast
dedication
to
this
important
issue,
and
my
prayers
remain
with
the
families
of
the
four
brave
Americans
who
lost
their
lives
in
Benghazi."
