Dear Friends,

Thank you for subscribing to my weekly e-newsletter, and please remember to follow me on Facebook,  Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

No More Ransom Payments

I joined Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and several of my other colleagues in introducing the No Ransom Payments Act. The act stops the government from paying ransom, and stops payments to Iran until Iran returns the ransom money and pays the American victims of Iranian terrorism what they are owed.

The Obama Administration continues to put Americans in danger through terrible polices. I am proud to be a part of this act that puts a stop to putting a price tag on American lives and gives them what they are owed.

Rediscovering Love

Last Friday at the Values Voter Summit, I spoke about the future of our nation and how our success requires us to rediscover love. Matthew 22:37-39 says to love God with all our heart, our soul, our strength, and our mind and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

In the Senate, I work to craft legislation that protects the well-being of all of our citizens. But we know government is not the answer to this problem - we all must accomplish this together. I am confident that we will, and that we have a bright future ahead of us.

Remembering Our Past and Celebrating Our Future

I had the chance to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture with fellow Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) and sit down with CBS “This Morning” co-host Charlie Rose. To say the least, visiting the museum was a very moving experience. You can watch the full segment here.

Sincerely,

Tim
