week,
I
voted
for
the
Gold
Star
Families
Act.
The
bill
is
an
amendment
to
the
Veterans’
Oral
History
Project
Act,
and
will
facilitate
the
collection
of
video
and
audio
recordings
of
biographical
histories
by
immediate
family
members
of
service
members
who
died
as
a
result
of
their
service
during
a
period
of
war.
I
am
eternally
grateful
for
our
brave
service
members
who
gave
it
their
all
on
the
battlefield,
and
paid
the
ultimate
sacrifice
so
we
can
live
in
a
safer
and
more
secure
country.
Their
stories
should
be
told
and
preserved,
so
future
generations
can
learn
about
their
heroic
and
remarkable
stories
that
have
helped
to
write
our
history.

last
Wednesday
before
they
began
their
Capitol
tour.
Talking
with
them
brightened
my
day
and
fortified
my
belief
that
our
best
days
are
ahead
of
us.
