Justice
is
Served
Last
week,
the
nation
saw
justice
prevail
when
the
final
verdict
was
reached
in
the
murder
trial
involving
the
shooting
at
Mother
Emanuel
Church
in
Charleston,
SC.
The
shooter’s
heinous
act
was
an
attempt
to
cause
mayhem
and
chaos
in
our
state,
but what
he
really
did
was
bring
us
closer
together.
As
the
killer
now
awaits
sentencing,
I
want
the
families
of
those
lost
that
day
to
know
one
thing:
we
are
all
still
with
you.
While
this
chapter
is
now
closed,
the
rest
of
this
book
has
yet
to
be
written.
Your
strength
and
courage
has
changed
Charleston,
South
Carolina,
and
our
nation
forever.

2016
in
Review
Coming
back
home
and
meeting
with
people
from
South
Carolina
is
the
best
part
of
my
job.
Since
becoming
a
U.S.
Senator
in
2013,
each
year
I
have
visited
all
46
counties
in
South
Carolina
in
order
to
meet
people
from
across
the
state
and
hear
their
concerns.
I
will
wrap
up
this
year’s
tour
at
the
end
of
this
week.
As
always,
I
am
humbled
by
the
South
Carolinians
that
I
meet
in
my
travels.
Your
willingness
to
share
your
insights
with
me
has
allowed
me
to
produce
meaningful
legislation
that
I
believe
will
help
improve
the
lives
of
Americans
across
the
nation.
On
my
Facebook
page,
I
am
sharing
some
of
the
initiatives
that
I
have
been
able
to
take
on
in
2016. I
am
grateful
for
your
continued
support,
guidance
and
encouragement
that
has
helped
us
tackle
some
of
the
most
important
issues
concerning
Americans
today.
Swearing
in
Ceremony
Thank
you
all
so
much
for
allowing
me
the
great
privilege
to
continue
to
serve
you
in
Washington.
It
is
such
an
honor
to
represent
South
Carolina
in
the
United
States
Senate.
I
am
excited
to
keep
working
for
you
and
to
ensure
every
family across
every
zip
code
has
access
to
opportunity
and
the
American
Dream.
To
show
my
appreciation,
I
would
like
to
invite
you
to
my
joint
reception
with
Senator
Marco
Rubio
after
the
official
swearing-in
ceremony
on
Tuesday,
January
3,
2017
in
the
U.S.
Capitol
Visitors
Center.

Christmas
Socks!
What
kind
of
socks
are
you
wearing
this
holiday
season?
I'm
asking
my
fellow
South
Carolinians
to
share
photos
of
you
wearing
them
by
direct
messaging
me,
and
I'll
share
a
few
here
on
my
Facebook
page
for
#12DaysofChristmasSocks!
Sincerely,

Tim
