Dear

Your
Support
Senator
Rubio
and
I
were
thrilled
to
welcome
so
many
folks
to
our
swearing
in
reception
the
support
was
amazing!
In
fact,
so
many
folks
came
out
that
the
Senate
Rules
Committee
had
to
shut
the
room
down
for
a
bit.
We
are
so
appreciative
of
those
who
joined
us,
and
please
know
that
I
am
truly
honored
you
chose
to
spend
some
time
with
us.
Serving
the
people
of
South
Carolina
in
the
United
States
Senate
is
an
amazing
honor,
and
one
I
do
not
take
lightly.
I
will
continue
my
efforts
to
ensure
that
every
family
across
our
nation
has
access
to
the
American
Dream,
and
thanks
to
all
of
you
for
your
support
I
wouldn’t
be
here
without
it!
National
Mentoring
Month
January
is
National
Mentoring
Month.
As
many
of
you
know,
I
have
experienced
firsthand
that
positive
mentors
can
make
positive
differences
in
one’s
life.
My
mentor,
John
Moniz,
took
me
under
his
wing
when
I
was
a
teenager
and
steered
me
in
a
direction
that
ultimately
led
to
me
becoming
a
U.S.
Senator.
Without
his
guidance,
I
do
not
know
where
I
would
be.
As
this
month
progresses,
I
encourage
everyone
to
try
to
make
a
difference
in
someone’s
life
through
positive
mentorship.
Your
commitment
will
go
a
long
way
in
helping
to
improve
the
lives
of
those
around
you.
Let
the
Games
Begin!
Senator
Richard
Shelby
(R-Ala.)
and
I
placed
a
friendly
wager
on
the
College
Playoff
National
Championship
between
the
Clemson
University
Tigers
and
the
University
of
Alabama
Crimson
Tide
tonight.
If
Crimson
Tide
wins,
I
will
deliver
Cromer’s
Peanuts
to his
office.
If
the
Tigers
win,
Senator
Shelby
will
provide
Preister’s
Pecans
to
my
office.
Go
Tigers!
Sincerely,

Tim
