Dear
Friends,
Thank
you
for

Town
Halls
I
count
myself
fortunate
to
have
had
the
opportunity
to
host
town
halls
and
answer
some
questions
from
constituents
these
past
two
Saturdays.
It
is
empowering
to
see
the
passion
surrounding
some
important
issues
facing
our
country.
Representing
all
of
my
constituents
continues
to
be
my
top
priority,
which
is
why
each
year
I
have
served
South
Carolina
in
the
United
States
Senate,
I
have
visited
all
46
counties
in
the
state
nearly
200
events
in
total.
Additionally,
every
Wednesday
the
Senate
is
in
session,
I
host
an
open
constituent
hour
for
South
Carolinians
visiting
DC
complete
with
sweet
tea!
Investing
in
Opportunity
Act
In
South
Carolina,
30
percent
of
our
state’s
population
live
in
distressed
zip
codes.
My
Investing
in
Opportunity
Act
would
help
restore
hope
in
these
communities,
and
many
more
low-income
communities
around
the
country,
by
incentivizing
investment
in
economically
distressed
neighborhoods,
without
creating
a
new
government
program.
I
wrote
a column
in
the
Greenville
Journal
on
how
the
Investing
in
Opportunity
Act
will
help
build
a
bridge
to
a
better
future.
African
American
History
Month
Last
week,
I
toured
the
Smithsonian
National
Museum
of
African
American
History
and
Culture
with
President
Donald
J.
Trump.
Every
time
I
visit
this
museum
I
am
more
in
awe!
African
Americans
have
contributed
much
to
our
nation
and
it
is
heartening
to
see
that
their
accomplishments
have
been
immortalized
for
generations
to
come.
Sincerely,
Tim
