Senator Scott to Speak at Men of Color National Summit Tomorrow in Greenville

Washington
– U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) will speak at Clemson University’s inaugural Men of Color National Summit tomorrow, April 28th. The summit will take place at the TD Convention Center.

As someone who grew up mired in poverty and overcame adversity, Senator Scott is expected to speak on the importance of education and mentorships, and how both had a positive impact in his life and essentially led him down a successful path.

According to Clemson University, the mission of the Men of Color National Summit is to close the achievement gap for African-American and Hispanic males, from cradle to career. The national conference will lead to awareness of the changing U.S. demographics by enhancing the experience of men of color through involvement and engagement, preparing them for a global mindset.
