statement
after
the
Senate
confirmed
Mr.
Alex
Acosta
to
serve
as
the
next
Secretary
of
Labor:
“Once
Mr.
Acosta
officially
assumes
his
new
position,
I
hope
his
focus
will
be
to
unleash
the
power
of
the
American
workforce
by
promoting
labor
policies
that
are
free
of
unnecessarily
burdensome
federal
regulations.
Specifically,
I
will
be
interested
to
see
how
he
plans
to
permanently
take
the
overtime
and
fiduciary
rules
off
the
table.
Both
are
examples
of
the
previous
administration’s
government
overreach
agenda,
and
moving
forward
our
attention
should
be
on
protecting
our
hardworking
employees,
and
not
creating
more
extraneous
layers
of
bureaucracy
and
wasted
tax
dollars.”
