“Whatever
the
crisis
or
mission,
our
service
members
stand
ready
to
protect
and
defend
our
national
interests
around
the
globe.
They
take
on
a
broad
range
of
missions,
often
risking
their
own
safety,
to
tackle
anything
from
fighting
terror
and
extremism,
to
carrying
out
humanitarian
aid
missions
like
we
recently
saw
in
regions
affected
by
devastating
hurricanes.
Our
brave
men
and
women
in
uniform
are
trained
to
carry
out
their
duties,
and
it
is
up
to
us
to
ensure
they
have
the
resources,
equipment,
and
technology
they
need
to
stay
ahead
of
the
next
threat.
The
National
Defense
Authorization
Act
considered
today encourages innovation,
growth,
and
sends
a
clear
message
that
our
national
security
is
