TODAY: Senator Scott, Members of Congress, and Baseball Hall of Famer Andre Dawson Commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Integration of Baseball

WASHINGTON—Today, U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), Representatives Roger Williams (R-TX) and Cedric Richmond (D-LA), Jeff Idelson, President of the national Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, and Hall of Famer, Andre Dawson will hold a press conference outside the United States Senate commemorating the 75th anniversary of the integration of baseball.

In honor of the anniversary, Senator Scott introduced the Senate version of the Integration of Baseball Commemorative Coin Act which will authorize the United States Mint to create a commemorative coin to honor those who fought for the integration of America’s favorite pastime—baseball. The House version was introduced by Congressmen Roger Williams (R-TX) and Cedric Richmond (D-LA)
