WASHINGTON U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) will join House Republican Conference Vice Chairman Mark Walker in hosting the 2020 HBCU Fly-In in Washington, D.C. Senator Scott and Vice Chairman Walker have invited the Presidents and Chancellors of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to participate in the afternoon conference on Capitol Hill. The conference will begin at 11 a.m.
To continue the Black History Month discussion on how to advance opportunities for black youth, Senator Scott has invited educators and members of Congress to participate in an open dialogue around bettering HBCU’s and minority serving institutions (MSI). Media is welcome. There will be a media avail at noon at the Kennedy Caucus Room.
