The Dam is Broken and a Band-Aid Won’t Work
Earlier this week, President Biden announced a long delayed immigration executive action. The truth of the matter is the American people are sick and tired of this forked-tongue administration and deserve real solutions to finally solve the crisis at our southern border.

Emphasizing the Importance of Financial Literacy
I spoke at the Jump$tart Coalition and National Endowment for Financial Education’s Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill. It is vital that younger generations have access to financial education to help them grow into productive members of society and aid in their ability to achieve their American Dream. I wish – as a kid growing up in poverty, in a single parent household – that I had those lessons before I entered my twenties. Sanctions Against the ICC
I introduced the Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act alongside Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.). Our legislation would sanction the International Criminal Court (ICC) if it attempts to investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute Americans or our allies. The ICC’s attempt to equate the brutal actions of a terrorist organization to the rightful defense of a democratic people is appalling. I applaud my colleagues in the House of Representatives for approving this important piece of legislation and call for Senate leadership to do the same.

The Future of Education
On Thursday morning, I was joined by my friend and fellow South Carolinian, Education Superintendent Ellen Weaver, to talk about the future of education in America. The event was hosted by the Capitol Hill Christian Academy and the Heritage Foundation.
I know first-hand that a great education is the front door of the American Dream. I believe the future of education will be giving every single family in America the power and the resources to decide where, when, and how they will educate their child. This means unlocking educational choices and funding students over systems!
