Dear Friend,

Welcome back to my Week in Review newsletter. Please remember to follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube for regular updates on how I am serving the people of South Carolina!

This weekend, we will observe Labor Day as a ‘hats off’ to the millions of hardworking Americans who make our country exceptional. Some of the most significant achievements in American history were made possible because of our dedicated workers’ innovation, and determination. Enjoy the long weekend; you all deserve it!

From programs like readySC to our commitment to research and development, South Carolina ranks second to none when it comes to a business-friendly environment. I am honored to play a small role in cultivating this climate with legislation that modernizes labor policies to protect workers and not union bosses, expands access to research and development tax credit for business, and decreases federal mandates on project labor agreements.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” ~Colossians 3:23-24

The Week in Review

Iran has made it clear: they intend to wipe Israel off of the map. We have to take them at their word. Now more than ever, we need to restore deterrence and stand side-by-side with Israel.

It was great to be back on the Jonathan and Kelly Show this week to breakdown some of my legislative efforts on behalf of South Carolinians and news of the day.
