Southern
Indiana

Making
the
tax
code
simpler
and
fairer
I’m
glad
Vice
President
Mike
Pence
was
in
Indiana
on
Friday
to
highlight
the
need
to
reform
and
simplify
the
American
tax
code.
As
I
travel
the
state
and
talk
to
everyday
Hoosiers,
it
is
clear
to
me
that
simplifying
our
tax
code
would
greatly
benefit
our
economy,
boost
job
growth,
and
help
the
American
people.
As
we
move
forward
into
the
fall,
I
will
continue
to
make
tax
reform
a
priority.
Building
America
with
Hoosier
Steel
Indiana
has
been
among
the
national
leaders
in
producing
steel
since
the
mid-1970s.
I
visited
the
team
at
U.S.
Steel
in
Gary
to
talk
to
the
men
and
women
working
hard
to
produce
the
steel
that
builds
America.
Creating
opportunity
through
solutions
I've
been
intently
focused
on
these
so-called
distressed
communities
since
taking
office,
making
several
visits
to
learn
how
policy
makers
can
better
serve
the
hard-working
Hoosiers
who
live
there.
Ultimately,
every
American
deserves
the
opportunity
to
better
the
lives
of
their
families
and
themselves.
I
will
continue
to
focus
on
developing
solutions
through
the
help
of
local
community
leaders
on
the
ground,
in
order
to
create
opportunity,
and
help
every
Hoosier
thrive.
