I
spoke
with
Jim
Fisher
on
WOC
radio
about
the
Second
Amendment,
Puerto
Rico
legislation, balancing
the
budget and
foreign
threats.

Q.
How
are
nursing
home
residents
being
victimized
on
social
media?
Q.
What
can
be
done
to
protect
the
elderly
from
digital
crimes
and
invasions
of
privacy?

A
recent
news
report
suggests
that
the
FBI
failed
to
notify
many
Americans
that
they
were
being
targeted
by
ISIS.
These
alleged
failures
are
alarming.
I’m
seeking
a
thorough
explanation
of
the
FBI’s
policies
surrounding
ISIS
kill
lists
of
American
citizens.
I
have
heard
from
producers
that
confusion
exists
between
the
Risk
Management
Agency
at
the
U.S.
Department
of
Agriculture
and
crop
insurance
companies
regarding
policies
for
over-seeding
cover
crops.
I’m
asking
the
Agriculture
Department
to
clarify
these
policies
to
ensure
that
farmers
are
not
inadvertently
deterred
from
using
cover
crops
to
improve
their
soil
and
the
environment.
We
need
to
make
sure
that
government
at
all
levels
is
working
to
spread
the
word
on
the
financial
exploitation
of
older
Americans.
As
Chairman
of
the
Judiciary
Committee,
I
recently
led
a
hearing
to
set
the
groundwork
for
bipartisan
legislation
to
protect
older
Americans
from
financial
exploitation
and
impose
tougher
penalties
for
scammers
who
target
them. Two
Iowans
testified.
A
more
transparent
government
leads
to
a
more
accountable
government,
but
too
often,
agencies
block
access
to
public
records
of
the
government’s
work. This
week,
a
bill
I
led
through
the
Judiciary
Committee
to
improve
access
to
government
records
was
signed
into
law.
This
is
an
important
step
toward
a
more
accountable
government.
Too
many
Americans
have
fallen
victim
to
the
devastating
impact
of
lax
immigration
enforcement.
I
recently
convened
a
hearing
to
examine
oversight
within
the
Department
of
Homeland
Security
and
joined
three
other
senators
in
introducing
Sarah’s
Law
to
correct
the
shortcomings
of
this
administration’s
immigration
enforcement
priorities.
