Dear Friend,

This week, I voted to stop the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule that would result in the EPA's take over of Colorado's water. This rule would give the federal government the authority to regulate ponds, streams, and ditches the same way they regulate the Mississippi River. It's a classic example of federal government overreach and it must be stopped. Watch my remarks on the Senate floor here

Guantanamo Bay Detainees Must Not be Brought to Colorado

I am doing everything I can to ensure dangerous terrorists are not brought to Colorado. I spoke at a press conference this week with Senator Pat Roberts and Senator Tim Scott on the President's illegal plan to bring Guantanamo detainees to the United States. Watch my statement here.

Meetings in Washington, D.C.

Earlier this week, I met with Brigadier General John R. Evans, Jr., Deputy Commanding General of the 2nd Infantry Division, Eighth Army, Republic of Korea. As the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cybersecurity Policy, I had an important discussion with the General about the current state of affairs on the Korean Peninsula, and the tremendous threat posed to the United States and our allies by the rogue North Korean regime.

Additionally, I met with University of Colorado Athletic Director Rick George to discuss college athletics and how CU is supporting their collegiate athletes.
