Dear
Friend,
North
Korea
Sanctions
Legislation
Signed
into
Law
The
President’s
signing
of
my
North
Korea
Sanctions
and
Policy
Enhancement
Act
represents
a
major
shift
in
U.S.
policy
toward
North
Korea.
It
is
the
Obama
Administration’s
recognition
that
their
strategic
patience
policy
has
failed
and
we
need
a
new
direction
to
stop
North
Korea's
increasing
belligerence.
My
bill
provides
that
new
policy
of
strength,
and
I’m
proud
that
Congress
put
politics
aside
and
came
together
to
approve
mandatory
sanctions
designed
to
stop
the
Forgotten
Maniac
in
Pyongyang.
Today,
we’ve
given
our
allies
a
reason
to
trust
us,
and
our
enemies
a
reason
to
fear
us.
I
discuss
this
important
legislation
in
this
week's
Republican
Weekly
Address.

Colorado
Meetings
I
had
the
opportunity
to
sit
down
with
local
leaders
in
Loveland
to
discuss
economic
development
around
the
Fort
Collins-Loveland
Airport.
I
enjoyed
my
visit
to
the
Center
for
Disease
Control
and
Prevention
lab
in
Fort
Collins,
Colorado
where
I
learned
about
the
important
work
the
CDC
is
doing,
including
its
efforts
to
combat
the
Zika
virus.
I
was
honored
to
join
Republic
of
Korea's
Consul
General
Dongman
Han
in
Denver
to
present
the
Ambassador
of
Peace
Medals
to
our
veterans
who
served
in
the
Korean
War
and
sacrificed
so
much
for
our
country.
