Speaking with Coloradans about Issues that Matter to Them

Hearing from Coloradans at my town halls in Greeley, Golden, and Colorado Springs
What I did: I held in-person town halls in Greeley, Golden, and Colorado Springs. It was great to speak with Coloradans about the issues they care about, including protecting Medicaid and Medicare for the millions of Coloradans who rely on them and building an economy that works for everyone. In case you missed them, you can listen to the recordings of the Greeley and Golden town halls on my Facebook page, and the Colorado Springs town hall on my YouTube.
What’s next: I am committed to using every tool at my disposal to protect Coloradans from the Trump Administration’s short-sighted and unlawful actions. It was great to meet with so many Coloradans this week to discuss how to make our state a better place to live and work.
2. Seeing Coloradans at Work in their Communities

Meeting with Coloradans at the Nutrien manufacturing plant in Greeley and Loveland-based nonprofit KidsPak.
What I did: This week, I traveled throughout the state to see how Coloradans are working to improve their communities – and hear what I can do to help.
In Loveland: I visited KidsPak, a nonprofit working to provide shelf-stable food for kids and families in Northern Colorado. I was glad to secure funding to support this organization’s important work. We must continue to fight against food insecurity.
In Greeley: I visited the Nutrien manufacturing plant to learn more about their work to make pesticides and herbicides more effective and discussed how President Trump’s tariffs on Canadian imports will affect Colorado's agriculture industry. Earlier this month, I joined my colleagues to urge President Trump to reconsider these short-sighted tariffs.
3. IN THE NEWS THIS WEEK
This week, I called on U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins to reverse the cancellation of local food purchase programs that benefit local farmers, ranchers, and communities. I’ll continue working to ensure these important programs are reinstated.
The Canadian flag flew over the Colorado state Capitol earlier this week in celebration of Colorado-Canada Friendship Day. We must continue to promote mutual peace and prosperity through partnering with our global allies like Canada.
