Dear
Friend,
Allison
Eid
Confirmed
to
the
Tenth
Circuit
Court
of
Appeals
Allison
Eid
will
make
Colorado
proud
as
she
assumes
her
new
position
on
the
Tenth
Circuit
Court
of
Appeals.
Allison’s
experience
as
Colorado’s
Solicitor
General,
serving
on
Colorado’s
Supreme
Court,
and
teaching
at
CU
Law
will
all
contribute
to
her
success
on
the
Tenth
Circuit.
Her
devotion
to
the
Constitution
and
the
rule
of
law
make
her
a
tremendous
choice
and
I’m
looking
forward
to
her
service
to
our
country.

Improving
Rural
Broadband
I
sent
a
letter
with
Senator
Michael
Bennet
(D-CO),
along
with
nearly
40
other
senators,
to
Federal
Communications
Commission
officials
urging
them
to
affirm
their
commitment
to
provide
affordable
and
reliable
broadband
for
consumers
in
the
hardest
to
reach
communities
across
rural
America.
Rural
Coloradans
need
access
to
broadband
to
grow
their
economies
and
keep
our
rural
communities
strong. The
Federal
Communications
Commission
should
take
the
necessary
action
to
make
sure
rural
broadband
providers
are
receiving
the
resources
they
need
to
serve
rural
America.

Meeting
with
a
High-Level
North
Korean
Defector
I
led
a
Senate
Foreign
Relations
Committee
meeting
with
Thae
Yong-Ho,
a
high-level
North
Korean
defector
who
served
as
North
Korea’s
Deputy
Ambassador
to
the
United
Kingdom
until
he
defected
to
South
Korea
last
year.
He
provided
valuable
insight
to
the
committee
and
we
agreed
that
more
economic
and
diplomatic
pressure
is
necessary
against
Kim
Jong
Un
to
bring
about
peaceful
denuclearization
of
North
Korea.
I
look
forward
to
working
with
my
colleagues
and
the
Administration
in
order
to
achieve
this
goal.
Bringing
Transparency
and
Accountability
in
EAGLE-Net
Alliance
Assets
Transfer
Last
week,
I
sent
a
letter
to
Commerce
Secretary
Wilbur
Ross
requesting
that
any
transfer
of EAGLE-Net
Alliance’s
former
assets
be
delayed
until
a
National
Telecommunications
and
Information
Administration
(NTIA)
Administrator
is
confirmed.
I'm
taking
action
to
make
sure
a
transparent
and
open
process
takes
place.
