Sen. Flake Cosponsors Legislation to Protect Second Amendment, States' Rights

Prevents other states from discriminating against law-abiding Arizona gun owners

WASHINGTON, DC—U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, announced his support of legislation to provide law-abiding gun owners consistent rights across state lines. Flake co-sponsored the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (S. 446), which would allow people with concealed carry privileges in their home state to exercise those rights in any other state with concealed carry laws. The bill protects the Second Amendment freedoms of gun owners without overriding individual state gun laws. The legislation is sponsored by Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas).
