July
1,
2016
I
cannot
express
enough
how
proud
I
am
to
see
how
my
fellow
West
Virginians
have
come
to
each
other’s
aid
over
the
last
week.
To
all
the
volunteers,
emergency
responders,
the
National
Guard,
local
businesses
and
leaders,
and
West
Virginians
showing
their
support
from
all
over
the
country,
I
sincerely
thank
each
of
you.
This
Fourth
of
July,
let
us
be
reminded
of
the
significance
of
this
unity.
Our
home
state
is
indeed
the
most
unique
in
the
nation
because
of
our
dedication
to
our
neighbors
and
friends,
and
I
think
the
rest
of
the
nation
has
been
inspired
by
that
this
week.
Great
progress
has
been
made,
but
there
is
still
much
to
do,
and
my
staff
and
I
continue
to
stand
ready
to
assist
you
in
any
way
we
can.
Gayle
and
I
wish
all West
Virginians
a
happy,
safe
Fourth
of
July.
The
Fourth
of
July
is
a
time
for
Americans
to
come
together
with
our
neighbors
and
celebrate
the
founding
of
our
great
nation,
the
freedoms
that
we
all
enjoy
as
well
as
our
nation’s
heroes
who
fought
to
defend
and
protect
us
here
at
home
and
abroad.
But
this
year,
through
every
snap
of
a
flag
and
every
crack
of
a
firecracker,
we
are
not
only
reminded
of
our
brave
service
men
and
women’s
unwavering
service,
but
also
of
the
gallant
efforts
of
our
first
responders
and
thousands
of
volunteers
who
are
giving
this
holiday
and
many
days
to
follow
to
serve
our
fellow
West
Virginians
in
their
greatest
hour
of
need.
What
makes
our
state
and
nation
so
special
is
our
creative
and
giving
spirit.
We
have
an
inner
light
that
burns
so
bright
that
no
one
can
keep
us
down
or
defeat
us.
We
come
together
in
difficult
times
in
times
of
war
and
in
times
of
tragedy.
I
share
the
pride
all
West
Virginians
feel
in
America
and
in
the
Mountain
State,
today
and
every
day,
and
I
wish
all
of
you
a
safe
Fourth
of
July.
May
God
bless
you
and
your
families,
the
great
state
of
West
Virginia
and
the
United
States
of
America.
May
He
watch
over
our
flood-damaged
communities,
give
comfort
to
all
of
those
impacted
and
give
us
strength
and
guidance
as
we
rebuild
our
state.

your

met
with
countless
families
and
local
community
leaders.
The
resilient
spirit
of
West
Virginians
never
fails,
and
it
will
carry
us
through
this
recovery.
