Working for West Virginia

Last week, Senator Manchin successfully introduced and passed a resolution of disapproval under the Congressional Review Act to overturn the anti-coal “stream buffer rule,” which threatened thousands of jobs.  Senator Manchin spoke on the Senate Floor urging his colleagues to overturn this job-killing rule. Federal Funding Highlight

In West Virginia, we have always done the heavy lifting that has built this nation. My top priority remains ensuring that everyone in the Mountain State has access to federal resources and support. I have dedicated staff both in West Virginia and in Washington, D.C. who can help you navigate the federal grant application process. I encourage you to visit the Grants and Business Opportunities page on my website: http://www.manchin.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/grants and contact either my Martinsburg office at (304) 264-4626, or my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 224-3954, if I can be of additional service.

KEY FEDERAL RESOURCES:

Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (General Services Administration): https://www.cfda.gov

The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) is the primary source of information on federal grants and nonfinancial assistance programs. Actual funding depends upon annual budget appropriations.

Grants.gov: http://www.grants.gov

FedConnect: https://www.fedconnect.net

After grant seekers identify federal programs in CFDA, websites such as Grants.gov or FedConnect.net provide regular updates when application announcements for competitive grants become available. The websites allow grant seekers to register and download applications for current competitive funding opportunities from all 26 federal grants-making agencies.
