Senator Manchin hosted a town hall with West Virginia coal miners in Matewan at UMWA Local 1440.

Senator Manchin pledged his continued support of the rights our miners have worked hard to earn.

WV Mine Wars Museum

The WV Mine Wars Museum in Matewan preserves our legacy and showcases the rights that miners fought for between 1900 and 1921. From the Matewan Massacre to the Battle of Blair Mountain, the WV Mine Wars Museum is home to a collection of historical treasures that educates our state's youth and invites visitors to learn more about our heritage.
