 Beckley Job Fair & Visits

This past Friday, I spent the day in Beckley – first at the Erma Byrd Higher Education Center where we held my 29th job fair with 145 vendors and more than 400 job seekers. Then I visited with Campus President Carolyn Long, students and faculty at the West Virginia University Institute of Technology. Exciting things are happening in Raleigh County!

Berkeley County Substance Abuse Prevention Awareness Launch

This week was the official launch of a collaboration between the Eastern Panhandle Recovery Coalition and the Potomac Highlands Guild Regional Prevention Program. Its goal is to make sustainable coalitions that educate people of all ages about the dangers of substance abuse and how to make healthy choices, and also to help those who are struggling with addiction. The program follows SAMHSA's Strategic Prevention Framework. I appreciate everyone at the Berkeley County Recovery Resource Center in Martinsburg for inviting me to speak.

South Charleston Passport Fair

Many thanks to everyone who came out to my Passport Fair in South Charleston last Saturday. We received 128 applications during our second "one-stop shop" passport resource fair. Stay tuned for details on another passport fair later this year!
