On the Road

To celebrate Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day, I was proud to join my friends Dave Simmons, President of the WV Vietnam Veterans of America, and Cecil Roberts, President of the UMWA, to honor our Vietnam Veterans and their families. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

I stopped by the West Virginia Home Show at the Charleston Civic Center last week. This event is certainly an excellent resource if you're hoping to be a West Virginia homeowner.

How May We Help You?

I truly appreciate the opportunity to hear from my fellow West Virginians. As your U.S. Senator, I am proud to be your voice with government agencies during your time of need. My goal is to provide top-notch customer service for every West Virginian who contacts me, or who may need help. My staff is available to help you with matters of concern. While I have no direct jurisdiction in the administrative matters of any federal, state, or local agency, I welcome the opportunity to assist you with whatever problem you may be experiencing and ask that full consideration is given to your case.

Mr. Tom Johnson contacted Senator Manchin’s office regarding the delay in processing his Medicare enrollment.  He completed paperwork at the local senior center in December prior to his 65th birthday.  Mid-February his enrollment had not been completed and after a series of illnesses and hospitalizations, had incurred large medical bills.  Our office contacted the local SSA office and it was determined that Mr. Johnson’s enrollment was processed and all Medicare-eligible charges would be covered, backdated to January 1.
