On the Road

Last week I was honored to speak at the ribbon cutting for Princeton’s VA Clinic. This clinic will be an asset for the area and our Veterans. It was also a pleasure to greet Director Stacey Vasquez and wish her the very best of luck as she departs for the Birmingham VA Medical Center in Alabama. Thank you again for your service to our nation and for serving your fellow Veterans.

Senator Manchin greets VA Director Stacey Vasquez with Senator Capito on her last day before leaving to serve as Director for the Birmingham VAMC.

I was proud to join in the announcement that the US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championship will be held at the Shawnee Complex for the next two years. This is such an outstanding opportunity for the region and for our young athletes.

As a part of National Service Recognition Day, Regional Coordinator Keith McIntosh attended the recognition ceremony for Harlee Marsh, an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader serving with West Virginia's Promise - The Alliance for Youth. Thank you again to Harlee and to all who strive to make our communities even better.

How May We Help You?

I truly appreciate the opportunity to hear from my fellow West Virginians. As your U.S. Senator, I am proud to be your voice with government agencies during your time of need. My goal is to provide top-notch customer service for every West Virginian who contacts me, or who may need help. My staff is available to help you with matters of concern. While I have no direct jurisdiction in the administrative matters of any federal, state, or local agency, I welcome the opportunity to assist you with whatever problem you may be experiencing and ask that full consideration is given to your case.

Mr. James Whorton of Moundsville repaid a debt owed to the VA, however the VA continue to deduct his debt payments each month. Mr. Whorton contacted the Senator's office requesting help with correcting this issue. As a result of Caseworker Gerrie Greene's inquiry, the current overpayment was addressed and a retroactive payment was issued.
