It was a great honor to join my friend Cecil Roberts in Fairmont as the new UMWA District 31 office was named in his honor. Cecil has tirelessly fought for our miners and I’ll continue to fight for miners across our state to protect their pensions and healthcare.

Last week I toured SI Group’s facility in Morgantown and learned about the products they make right here in West Virginia that are used in food packaging and other industries around the world.

Regional Coordinator Mary Jo Guidi attended the 100th anniversary of the Generations Restaurant & Pub in Wheeling on my behalf. She presented a recognition celebrating this outstanding milestone for the Duplaga family and for the entire Wheeling community.

As your U.S. Senator, I am proud to be your voice with government agencies during your time of need. My goal is for me and my staff to provide the best possible customer service for every West Virginian who contacts me needing assistance. While I have no direct jurisdiction in legal or administrative matters of any federal, state, or local agency, I welcome the opportunity to assist you in any way possible and to assure that full consideration is given to your case. See one of our recent success stories below:

James and Stephanie Williams, from Bluefield, contacted the Senator for assistance with James’ need for approval from the Veterans Administration (VA) to obtain dire need medical treatment from the Cleveland Clinic. As a result of Caseworker Amber McCartney's inquiry on behalf of the Senator, the (VA) approved treatment and a letter of approval was provided to the Cleveland Clinic.
