I'm proud to once again be accepting Congressionally Directed Spending Requests from  West Virginia organizations and non-profits. Last year, I secured over $166 million in CDS projects for West Virginia. Interested communities and non-profits can visit be submitted to request targeted funding through Congressionally Directed Spending in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 appropriations process. 

The application deadline is Sunday, April 10.

“Senators have a constitutional obligation to advise and consent on a nominee to fill a Supreme Court vacancy and this is a responsibility I take very seriously. Just as I have with previous Supreme Court nominees, I met with Judge Jackson and evaluated her qualifications to be a Supreme Court Justice. After meeting with her, considering her record, and closely monitoring her testimony and questioning before the Senate Judiciary Committee this week, I have determined I intend to vote for her nomination to serve on the Supreme Court."

Full Committee Hearing On The Freely Associated States

The purpose of the hearing was to examine the strategic importance of the Freely Associated States to the United States and our allies in the Indo-Pacific region, including the Compacts of Free Association with the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau.
