Emergency Connectivity Fund for West Virginia Schools and Libraries
The Federal Communications Commission has announced a third opportunity for eligible West Virginia schools and libraries to apply for funding from the Emergency Connectivity Fund. This program, which I supported as part of the American Rescue Plan, has provided nearly $40 million in funding for eligible equipment and services to help close the Homework Gap and keep our kids connected.
The deadline for applications is May 13, 2022.

Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program Available to Eligible Residents
The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resource (DHHR) is now accepting applications for the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) until funds are exhausted. This federally funded program assists eligible state residents in paying water or wastewater bills. Eligibility is based on income, household size and whether the household is responsible for paying water or wastewater bills.
