NASA Deputy Administrator Pam Melroy and I visited the WVSSAC Robotics State Championship, Watson Elementary School and the Katherine Johnson IV&V Facility. We spoke to students alongside Dr. Andrew “Drew” Morgan, a NASA astronaut and Morgantown native. From Katherine Johnson to Homer Hickam, West Virginians have made a lasting impact on our understanding of space & our own planet. With STEM education, I’m confident West Virginia students can continue to make incredible contributions that benefit all of mankind.
