Governor’s One Shot Hunt

Another successful Governor’s One Shot Hunt is in the books! The antlerless deer hunt is a fundraiser for the Hunters Helping the Hungry program. I’m proud to support this annual event that raises funds and harvests venison for families in need across West Virginia.

"The funding announced today will help prevent and respond to crime, as well as improve police effectiveness through increased hiring capacities and community policing strategies. The funding will also bolster safety at our schools and expand access for mental health and wellness services for law enforcement."

While you can no longer get free COVID-19 test kits from the federal government, if you have health insurance, you’re covered for 8 free over-the-counter, at-home COVID-19 tests each month. If you have health insurance through your employer, or if you have a plan through the Affordable Care Act’s marketplace, each person on your plan can get 8 tests per month. If you’re on Medicare, you’re also covered for 8 free over-the-counter COVID-19 tests each month.
