MANCHIN REACTS TO BIDEN'S OUTRAGEOUS COAL COMMENTS

“President Biden’s comments are not only outrageous and divorced from reality, they ignore the severe economic pain the American people are feeling because of rising energy costs. Comments like these are the reason the American people are losing trust in President Biden and instead believes he does not understand the need to have an all in energy policy that would keep our nation totally energy independent and secure."

When 14-year-old resident Nate Giertz wrote to City of Hurricane mayor Scott Edwards asking for the city to build a multi-purpose park for skateboarders, roller skaters and scooter riders, the city listened. I’m proud of Nate for getting involved and making a difference!

Putnam County is becoming a destination for outdoor enthusiasts with the opening of the Meeks Mountain Trails, a 26mi trail system made possible by over 10k volunteer hours & a public-private partnership. Thank you Mayor Scott Edwards and Thor Meeks for your leadership!

I’m grateful to the Charleston Rotary Club for hosting me at their monthly meeting in the recently renovated Kanawha County Public Library building. I appreciated the chance to discuss new economic opportunities coming to our great state and the top issues facing our country.

Thank you to the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce for inviting me to be the keynote speaker at their annual dinner. The Huntington region is continuing to grow, and I’m proud to vote for legislation - including the Inflation Reduction Act - that will positively impact West Virginia's business climate.

How May We Help You

Denise Tucker of Charleston contacted my office for assistance with a VA claim for her father, Mr. Charles Mooney. My office helped her navigate the paperwork and provided this information to the VA on the family’s behalf resulting in the approval of his claim for benefits.

We sadly share that Mr. Mooney has passed away since the recording of this video. Our proud Veterans provide an irreplaceable service to our country and forever deserve recognition and reverence for their dignity and strength.
