"The world looks up to the United States for leadership, and it’s time for Washington to step up in this time of crisis. Our country works on cooperation and compromise. That's how we run our businesses, that's how we run our lives, and that's how we should run our government."

I was proud to secure $892,000 to offer emotional intelligence training to every West Virginia law enforcement officer. This first-in-the-nation program will give our officers the tools they need to manage stress levels, identify their strengths and foster better decision-making. This training will undoubtedly save lives and make our neighborhoods safer. Thank you to all the law enforcement and first responders who put their lives on the line every day for our communities.
