MANCHIN STATEMENT ON GOVERNOR WALZ AS PICK FOR VICE PRESIDENT

"My friend Governor Tim Walz will bring normality back to the most chaotic political environment that most of us have ever seen. All of the candidates were strong and any one of them would have been a great pick, but I can think of no one better than Governor Walz to help bring our country closer together and bring balance back to the Democratic Party. Governor Walz is the real deal. I look forward to continuing to work with him to bring normalcy back to Washington."

Gas and Oil Association of West Virginia

I was proud to address the Gas and Oil Association of West Virginia Summer Meeting to thank them for the critical work they do for West Virginia. I was honored to receive their Distinguished Service Award for always advocating for West Virginia’s ocean of energy right under our feet.

Omar from Monongalia County contacted my office for assistance scheduling the naturalization ceremony for him and his wife. As new citizens and long-term residents of the Mountain State, the couple wanted to attend a ceremony in West Virginia rather than one which would take place out-of-state. As a result of my inquiry with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Omar and his wife were scheduled for an in-state ceremony.
