First responders and local officials are working around the clock to assess damages from Hurricane Michael and get our communities up and running again.  

As you assess damages to your home and property, here are some helpful resources to have on hand:

• List you and your family as safe with the Red Cross here.
• Find food, water, and sheltering information here. 
• Call your local non-emergency police line to report a downed tree in a main road.
• Call 911 immediately to report downed power lines. Do not attempt to handle them. 
• Report power outages by contacting your power provider. The two main providers in Georgia are:
  • Georgia Power (contact here or at 888-891-0938)
  • Georgia electric membership cooperatives (EMCs) (find your local branch here)
• Self-report basic damage to homes, businesses, and public facilities with the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency here.
• Take photographs of damaged property to assist with filing insurance claims.
• For assistance with cleanup on private property, call Crisis Cleanup at 1-800-451-1954.
• Learn about U.S. Department of Agriculture Disaster Assistance Programs here.
• Find information on volunteering to help with recovery efforts at www.nvoad.org.
• For issues with federal agencies, call my office at 404-865-0087.
